Climate
The year-round climate of the state is pleasant, however, it does experience hot weather conditions during peak summers and the temperatures may rise up to 45 degrees Celsius. Winters are pleasant and cool and the state experiences moderate rainfall during monsoon season. The ideal time to visit Andhra Pradesh is from October to March when temperatures usually range from 16-25 degrees Celsius.

City Life

Though Visakhapatnam is primarily an Industrial city, it also has beautiful sandy beaches, well built and maintained temples, Buddhist Remnant sites, parks and scenic areas such as the Araku Valley. Vizag has had a tremendous historical significance in earlier times, and numerous historical remnants still stand here with pride. It also houses fine restaurants, bars and amazing shopping centers. Vijayawada is also an ideal city to enjoy urban delights and exotic nightlife. 


History & Heritage

Andhra Pradesh also possesses beautiful architecture and rich heritage. Aside from temples, several locations like Chandragiri Palaces and Fort, Golconda Fort, The Hanging Pillar, Nandi Bull and Paintings, Kondapalli Fort and Clock Tower, The LightHouse, and Dutch Cemetery are also some mesmerising architectural marvels and sites of historic significance. Some of the famous historical places in Vijayawada are Undavalli Caves, Kondapalli Fort, Mogalarajapuram Caves, and Hinkar Thirtha, among others. Take a day trip to Amravathi to witness the beautiful Buddhist Stupa built thousands of years ago. There are several temples, statues and museums worth exploring in Amravathi. Beaches

Baruva Beach, Bheemunipatnam Beach, Manginapudi Beach, Mypadu Beach, Ramakrishna Beach, Kalingapatnam Beach, and Rushikonda Beach are some of the more popular beaches of the state. Pleasant breeze from the local river systems and the Bay of Bengal make these beaches serene get-away spots amidst lush greenery. RK beach is one of the most popular tourist spots in Vizag. It is famous for the Kurusura Museum on its shore and nearby temples and restaurants. 


Wildlife

Andhra Pradesh is a true paradise for all the nature lovers. With cities under the constant care and nurture of nature, the state has thick forests supporting native exotic fauna. Temples/Places of Worship

Tirupati is a prime location and a hustling pilgrim site in Andhra Pradesh. Padmavati Temple, Govindaraja Swamy Temple, and Lord Venkateswara Temple reside in Tirupati. Temple of Sri Panakala Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy in Vijayawada, Kanipakam Temple in Chittoor, Veerabhadra Temple in Lepakshi, Jonnawada Temple in Nellore, and Iskcon Temple in Rajahmundry are some must-visit places during an escapade to Andhra Pradesh. One of the most famous temples in Vizag is Simhachalam. It is dedicated to Narsimha and is located on top of the Simhachalam hill (literally means Lion-hill). This temple’s central shrine has Kalinga architecture dating back to 1269. These temples are sites of spiritual awakening and meditation where people from far off lands come to put their minds at ease.

A major chunk of Andhra Pradesh can be covered within 7 days. Vizag is an ideal location to start the tour. Spend two days exploring the beautiful beaches, hill stations, and large temples of the city. Experience the local aura and ambience, and head towards the next destination, that is Araku Valley. Roam the Araku Valley for a day and embrace the rustic and tribal lifestyle. Wander in the truly marvellous caves and thick forests of the hilly landscape as you get to observe the native heritage and culture at the local tribal museums. Take a short day trip to Erra matti dibbalu, originally a dutch settlement. Erra matti dibbalu provides beautiful insights of the heritage passed down by its prior dutch owners. Valleys, rivers, and beaches are a must-explore of the region. Spend a day exploring the historical sites in Amaravati. Vijayawada is an ideal location to put an end to the journey. Spend a day or two here to enjoy the serene beaches, sight-seeing, river cruise and close out the trip with a mesmerising sunset at the Suryalanka Beach.
