Explore Armenia
In the Arms of History

Mystical. Historical. Vibrant. Cultural. Ever-changing. Such wonderful adjectives barely make a dent in our attempts to encapsulate the magical aura of Armenia. Nestled in the crossroads of Europe and Asia, this is one of the oldest countries in the world. Remnants of their glorious past, dating back to the very inception of human civilization, are liberally sprinkled across its course yet breathtaking terrain. Simultaneously, Armenia is a hotspot for adventure sports! Talk about having the best of both worlds!

Things to do
  • The ancient Armenian capital of Yerevan is a favourite amongst tourists. The city is known for its beautiful architecture and lovely streets. Enjoy the Republic Square, Abovyan Street, Northern Avenue Opera House, Victory Park and GUM Bazaar. In the evening, you’ll love the atmosphere at the local pubs. Most importantly, Yerevan is the perfect place to stay and plan day tours to the most important sites in the country that are all easily accessible from the capital.
  • Tatev is another important destination. Ride the world’s longest cable car known as the Wings of Tatev to the 9th century AD Tatev Monastery overlooking the stunning Voronton Gorge. The Shaki Waterfall, a must-see destination for nature lovers, is only an hour’s drive away from Tatev.
  • Dilijan is a beautiful halt for hikers who can enjoy the variety of trails that cater to varying levels of difficulty. The National Park, Parz Lake and historical monasteries are important places you must cover!
  • Lori is an uncommon but amazing addition to your Armenia tour. History-buffs will adore the mysterious monastery complexes and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It’s also known as an excellent spot for exploring the canyons either on foot or horseback riding! Visit Sanahin and Haghpat Monasteries, Lori Fortress and Dendropark.
  • Armenian food is unique, flavorful and very affordable!
  • You must try their Manti (baked dumplings), Dolma (minced meat and rice wrapped in grape leaves), Khorovats (kebabs), Lahmacun (Armenian pizza), Basturma Omelette and Armenian Gata (sweet bread).
  • The lemonade is very different, liberally spiced with tarragon!
  • Moreover, eating out in Armenia is very easy on the pocket. One can expect an entire day’s meals to cost something between 7 Euros to 10 Euros per head!
