Jharkhand is also home to several hills that offer breathtaking views of the lush green forests surrounding them. One of the most famous tourist destinations is Dalma Hills which is situated just 13km from Jamshedpur. Adventure seekers can take up rock climbing or trekking. Netarhat is a well-known hill station in Jharkhand. The picturesque landscapes and tranquil surroundings of this hill station can steal your heart. Away from bustling cities, Netarhat offers the escape you seek. Ghaghri Falls, Magnolia Sunset Point and Koel View Point are some of the key attractions of this place. Khandori Hill in Giridih is best for rock climbing, rappelling and trekking. You can enjoy these adventure sports at Trikut Hills in Deoghar as well. The rope way used to reach the top of the hill is a major tourist attraction. Wildlife
Jharkhand is well-known for its flora and fauna. The state is home to many wild animals and a myriad of birds' species. The Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is known as paradise for elephants and is one of the main tourist attractions of the city. It is home to barking deer, porcupines, sloth bear, and elephants. Besides animals, Dalma sanctuary is also well-known for its variety of birds. Some other well-maintained wildlife parks include Tata Steel Zoological Park in Jamshedpur, Hazaribagh National Park, Jawaharlal Nehru Biological Park in Bokaro, Palamu Wildlife Sanctuary and Betla National Park in Palamu.
Temples/Places of Worship
Dalmi is one of the famous religious sites you must visit for the peace that dwells in every corner of the temple. If you want to explore religious places then Deoghar is one of the best places to begin with. The city is home to ancient temples like Baba Baidyanath Dham Temple, Harila Jori and Basukinath Dham. Other temples which resemble the rich traditional background of Jharkhand are Jagannath Temple, Sun Temple, and Pahari Temple in Ranchi; Rankini Temple and Bhuvaneshwari Temple in Jamshedpur; Rajarappa temple in Hazaribagh; Jain Temples and Harihar Dham in Giridih; Binduvasini Temple and Shivgadi Temple in Sahibganj.
How to spend time / how long will it take?
You can cover a major chunk of Jharkhand within a week. You can start off at Jamshedpur, spending a day or two exploring the wildlife sanctuary, temples and Dalma Hill. Moving upwards, spend two days exploring the city of waterfalls - Ranchi. The serene waterfalls and lakes will help rejuvenate your body, mind and soul. Further, you can visit religious places such as Baidynath Dham, Rajrappa and Parasnath. You could end your trip at Netarhat hill station, camping and relaxing at vantage points amidst nature.

- Jharkhandi cuisine consists mainly of vegetables prepared in different styles. Some of the famous traditional food items include Litti Chokha, Pitha, Rugra, Thekua, Dhuska, Chilka Roti, Aloo Chokha, and Handia. Dessert items like Malpua, Til Barfi and Mitha Khana are best to savour your love for sweets.
